English Literature of the Restoration and the Enlightenment
The aim of this book is to give a general view on English literature in its historical developmentwithin the span of 130 years from the end of the Civil War and the restoration of monarchy in 1660 till the beginning of the French Revolution. The Reader provides a selection of canonical texts, annotations about their authors and circumstances under which these texts have been created, as well as textual commentaries.
